Brody Dalle Biography
Singer + guitarist & songwriter Brody Dalle, birth name Bree Leslie Pucilowski, was born on January 1, 1979 in Melbourne, AUSTRALIA. Heavily influenced by old school Punk-Rock music she formed her first band in her native land and in the mid-'90s moved to Los Angeles where formed The Distillers, releasing two albums on on Hellcat Records the label founded by her husband Tim Armstrong. After one more album with The Distillers, Dalle split up with Armstrong; she eventually married Queens Of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme and began working on new music also forming a new band, Spinnerette.
The first-ever solo album from Brody Dalle, "Diploid Love", arrives in May 2014, debuting at #1 on the U.K. Rock Albums chart. The set includes the single "Don't Mess With Me".
