Crystal Castles Biography
Crystal Castles is an experimental electronic band from Toronto, Ontario CANADA, which formed in 2003 as a solo project of producer + multi-instrumentalist Ethan Kath. He later discovered vocalist Alice Glass and as early as 2006, the duo began touring the U.S. and Europe.
One year later they supported Metric throughout their North American tour and finally released their eponymous debut album in March 2008 which inched into the U.K. top 50. That same year they had the opportunity to open for legendary Industrial rockers Nine Inch Nails.
Crystal Castles issued its sophomore, again self-titled, effort in May 2010; the CD debuted inside the top 50 in U.K. and reached the #188 position on the U.S. Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. It includes the Alternative top 20 hit single "Not In Love" featuring Robert Smith from The Cure.
