The Answer Biography
Downpatrick, NORTHERN IRELAND, rockers The Answer got together in spring 2000 around vocalist Cormac Neeson, guitarist Paul Mahon, bassist Michael Waters and drummer James Heatley.
They signed a contract with the Australian rock label Albert Productions, in 2005 and brought out their debut album, "Rise", in June 2006. The band have performed with icons such as AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, The Who and Aerosmith, playing celebrated headlining tours in England, Japan and Australia. Their debut record, which sold more than 100,000 copies, was greeted enthusiastically by fans and media alike.
"Everyday Demons", The Answer's second LP, the first to be released in the United States, arrived in March 2009 debuting at #25 in U.K. and inside the top 40 of the U.S. Billboard Heatseekers chart led by the single "Demon Eyes".
Following the success of the sunsequent triumphant cross-global trek with AC/DC, the quartet furthered their reputation and creative aims with 2011's effort called "Revival". Commercially, the album fared worse than its predecessor, it just barely got into the top 40 of the British chart.
The Answer made some tough decisions, recruiting new management and signing to a new label, thus ensuring that their future would very much be conducted on their own terms. Featuring the single "Spectacular", their fourth album, "New Horizon", arrived in stores in September 2013 via Napalm Records.
