Butch Walker Biography

Born Bradley Glenn Walker on November 14, 1969, in Rome, Georgia USA, singer + guitarist & songwriter Butch Walker started his career as the frontman for Atlanta alt-rockers Marvelous 3. Not entirely distracted by quick-winded success, he honed his songwriting skills and co-wrote the Modern Rock top 3 smash "Right Now" with Maryland's SR-71.

After going solo, first as a producer and later as a singer, Walker released a 2002 effort on BMG titled "Left Of Self-Centered", reaching #12 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart.
He followed up two years later with his second solo album, "Letters", which made a brief chart intrusion at #171 on The Billboard Top 200.

In July 2006 Butch Walker returned with, "The Rise And Fall Of Butch Walker And The Let's-Go-Out-Tonites!", the album featured the single "Bethamphetamine (Pretty Pretty)".

Sycamore Meadows, the street where Walker lived and worked in Malibu, has drastically changed as a result of the massive wildfires that destroyed much of the area in November 2007 and like many other Southern California residents, the artist lost his entire house and all his personal possessions in those fires, including his studio and every master recording he's ever made. Butch Walker wrote and produced the entire new album, titled "Sycamore Meadows", which ranges from the uptempo, anthemic jam that launches the disc, first official single "The Weight Of Her", to the deeply personal ballad "Ships In A Bottle".
