Emphatic is mostly a vehicle for guitarist Justin McCain to create an aggressive modern Rock band. Based in Omaha, Nebraska USA, the group built up a solid following within the local music scene earning a good enough reputation to garner spots opening for the likes of Stone Temple Pilots, Buckcherry, Avenged Sevenfold, Papa Roach, Breaking Benjamin, Flyleaf and Five Finger Death Punch. The band released a pair of independent albums, a self-titled set in 2005 and "Goodbye Girl" in 2008.
Signing with Atlantic Records just after Christmas of 2009, Emphatic hit the studio to cut their major-label debut, "Damage". At that time, the band consisted of Patrick Wilson on vocals, Justin McCain on lead guitar, Lance Dowdle on rhythm guitar, Jeff Fenn on keyboards, Alan Larson on bass and Dylan Wood on drums. Released in July 2011 "Damage" hit #9 on the Top Heatseekers Albums chart spawning two Active Rock top 30 hits: "Bounce" and "Get Paid", but the band's full-length was a sales failure and the six-piece Omaha-based unit was eventually dropped from Atlantic.
In the fall of 2012 Justin McCain began to reassemble the band, bringing in ex-Fuel singer Toryn Green, guitarist Bill Hudson, bass player Jesse Saint and drummer Patrick Mussack.
Emphatic are back with "Remember Me", the first single from the band's upcoming album, "Another Life", which is set to drop on September 17, 2013, via Epochal/Capitol Records.
