Madina Lake Biography
The Alternative-Rock band Madina Lake features identical twins Nathan on vocals and Matthew Leone on bass, both ex-members of The Blank Theory; the band was formed in 2005 in Chicago, Illinois USA and also includes guitarist Mateo Camargo and drummer Daniel Torelli.
The group made their debut in 2006 with the release of an EP, "The
Disappearance Of Adalia"; since then the band has been tearing up
the road, with over 150 shows that year opening for The
Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Paramore,
Years and many more.
Madina Lake released their debut Roadrunner album, entitled "From Them, Through Us, To You", in March 2007; it reached #154 on The Billboard 200 and the first single, "House Of Cards", entered The Hot Modern Rock chart at #38. The album, which fell just shy of reaching the U.K. top 50, included the European single "Here I Stand".
In May 2009, the band returned with "Attics To Eden"; like its predecessor, the album found more success in Europe than the U.S. where it stalled at #153 on The Billboard 200. In U.K. the disc nearly broke the top 40 helped by two minor hit singles: "Never Take Us Alive" and "Let's Get Outta Here".
Two years later Madina Lake signed a new record deal with Razor & Tie and released their third full-length, "World War III". The disc included the single "Hey Superstar".
