Twin Atlantic Biography

A Glasgow, SCOTLAND-based, Alternative-Rock quartet formed in 2007 by lead singer + guitarist Sam McTrusty, guitarist + cellist Barry McKenna, bassist + pianist Ross McNae and drummer Craig Kneale, after the usual start for most bands playing gigs locally, Twin Atlantic started to look further a field gaining support slots with like-minded American prog-rockers Circa Survive and alt-Rock legends The Smashing Pumpkins.

In March 2009, Twin Atlantic headed over the ocean to the streets of Austin, Texas to play four blistering shows at South by Southwest. Their American adventure took them to Los Angeles shortly afterwards to record "Vivarium" which came out that September on Red Bull Records.

The Glaswegian four-piece issued their first proper full-length album, "Free", in May 2011 entering the U.K. Sales chart at #12. The title-cut found mainstream success in America breaking the top 30 of the Canadian Active Rock chart and the U.S. Alternative Rock airplay list.

Latest News:

Twin Atlantic have their third studio album, "Great Divide", planned for release on August 18, 2014.
